Benjamin Schneider Memorial Scholarship
This memorial scholarship was established by the Bakersfield Association of Retarded Citizens (BARC) in honor of Mr. Ben Schneider, to support CSUB students in Special Education. Benjamin Schneider visited the BARC Headquarters in Bakersfield and was very impressed with it. Unbeknownst to BARC, Mr. Schneider granted BARC a part of his estate upon his death. He passed away on July 3, 2009. Schneider is remembered as a giving individual who greatly believed in BARC and in the community.
